Souther, best known for co-writing with the Eagles (both collectively and individually) , Linda Ronstadt, as well as his work with Glenn Frey in Longbranch Pennywhistle. Happy Birthday JD ! Today we look and listen to his work in the country rock supergroup, Souther–Hillman–Furay Band (with Chris Hillman and Richie Furay) and their debut record, The Souther-Hillman-Furay Band. The LP was released in 1974 on the Asylum label and produced by Richard Podolor. It peaked at #58 in Australia and #11 on the Billboard 200.
