Today is also the 85th Birthday of South Carolina native,  country music singer, songwriter, and television host, "Whispering Bill" Anderson (James William Anderson III) . Happy Birthday Bill ! With him in mind, we spotlight his 5th compilation album, the double LP, The Bill Anderson Story: His Greatest Hits. The record(s) were  released March 1969 on the Decca label and produced by Owen Bradley. It peaked at #43 on the Top Country Albums chart and featured  hits from his 10 years at Decca.
