Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember New York native and vocalist, Jay Black (born David Blatt), best known as the second vocalist for the rock group, Jay And The Americans, on what would have been his 84th Birthday. He was born in 1928, and passed away October 22, 2021, age 82, from pneumonia. With him in mind, we spotlight the band's second greatest hits collection, appropriately titled Greatest Hits Volume 2. The LP was released in 1966 on the United Artists label. Mixed in among the originals, are great covers of Roy Orbison's "Crying" and the Mamas & the Papas' "Monday, Monday".
