Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. It was on this day in 1945 that future vocalist, guitarist, and band leader Bob Seger was born. Happy 75th Birthday Bob ! With him in mind, we spotlight his ninth studio album, Night Moves. Night Moves was released October 22, 1976 on the Capitol label and produced by Seger, Punch Andrews, Jack Richardson, and the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section (who back seger on 4 of the 9 tracks). The LP peaked at #12 in Canada and #8 on the Billboard 200. It has been certified 6X Platinum in the US. The title track (#5 Canada, #4 Hot 100), "Mainstreet" (#24 Hot 100, #1 Canada), and "Rock And Roll Never Forgets" (#41 Hot 100) were released as singles.
