Great Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we wish  Montgomery, Alabama native, singer songwriter, and keyboardist, Toni Tennille (Cathryn Antoinette Tennille), a very Happy 83rd Birthday. Happy Birthday Toni ! She was born in 1940 to parents Frank and Cathryn Tennille. Frank owned a furniture store and later served in the Alabama Legislature, while Cathryn was the host of daily television show. She met her future husband,  Daryl Dragon in 1971. He was at the time performing with The Beach Boys and Introduced Toni to the band and for a short time she played piano for the band. In 1973, they exited and formed the husband and wife soft rock duo, Captain & Tennille. Today we have their first greatest hits package, appropriately titled, Greatest Hits. The LP was released in 1977 on the A&M label and it peaked at #55 on the Billboard 200 and #47 in Canada. It has been certified Gold in the US.
