Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . It was on this day in 1999, that Mississippi born singer, guitarist and baseball player, Charley Pride, got his star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. To mark the occasion, we spotlight his debut album, Country Charley Pride. Country Charley Pride was released in 1966 on the RCA Victor label and produced by Bob Ferguson, Chet Atkins, and Jack Clement. It peaked at #16 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. Sadly Charley is no longer with us, as he died last year during the pandemic. His music lives on forever.
