Dark Clouds Rain Down Tears Washing Away Swirling Colors From The Clown's Face..
Good Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we celebrate the 77th Birthday of Chicago born bassist and vocalist, Peter Cetera, best known for his work in jazz rock band Chicago. Happy Birthday Peter ! To mark the occasion we spotlight their self titled release Chicago, retroactively known as Chicago II. The double LP was released January 26, 1970 on Columbia Records and produced by James William Guercio. The discs reached #6 in the UK, #5 in Australia, and #4 in America where it has been certified Platinum. Two singles were released ; "Make Me Smile" (#33 Australia, #24 France, #11 Canada, Cash Box, #9 Hot 100) and the ever popular "25 or 6 to 4" (#22 Germany, #13 Ireland, #12 Australia, #8 Netherlands, #7 UK, #4 Hot 100, #3 France, #2 Canada).
