Good morning, morning people and welcome back to the Sunday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Mississippi born rock and roll, R&B, pop and country music singer/songwriter and guitarist, Conway Twitty , (real name : Harold Lloyd Jenkins) on this, the 29th anniversary of his passing. He died at age 59, from an abdominal aortic aneurysm, shortly after performing at the Jim Stafford Theatre in Branson, Missouri. We honor his legacy by spinning his 41st album and his first of the 1980s. Heart And Soul was released in 1980 on the MCA label and produced by David Barnes and Conway. It peaked at #10 on the Top Country Albums chart and #3 on the Canadian Country charts. Two singles were released ; "I'd Love to Lay You Down" (#1 Hot Country Songs, #1 Canada Country RPM) and "I've Never Seen the Likes of You" (#7 Canada Country RPM, #6 Hot Country Songs). The former has been certified Gold in the US. The LP doesn't have sides 1 and 2 or even A and B, but instead is divided by Side Heart and Side Soul.
