Good morning Thursday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember Cowboy Copas (real name Lloyd Estel Copas) the popular C+W music star, whose life was cut short on this day in 1963. He was killed (age 49) in the same plane crash that claimed the lives of Patsy Cline and Hawkshaw Hawkins. With them in mind, we spotlight his 1966 Hilltop Record, A Satisfied Mind. The title track was written by Joe "Red" Hayes and Jack Rhodes and has been covered by a multitude of artists, including Porter Wagoner, Glen Campbell, Bob Dylan, Ella Fitzgerald, Joan Baez, The Byrds, David Allan Coe, Lindsey Buckingham and Robert Plant.
