Great Monday morning gang and welcome to the President's Day 2023 edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . President's Day was originally celebrated as a Federal holiday to observe George Washington's Birthday on the 22 of February. It was started in 1879 and remained in effect until 1970 when it was changed by Uniform Monday Holiday Act and moved to the third Monday of February. Soon after it was renamed President's Day to honor all those who served in the role as Commander In Chief. Our record of choice today is this 1969 Elektra Records release, I Am The President, by New York native and comedian, David Fyre. The LP sees Fyre pan Nixon, Agnew, LBJ, William Buckley, Billy Graham, Henry Fonda, and more.
