Good morning, Sunday morning people and welcome back to the stack of wax also known as Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember English bassist and occasional vocalist, Kelly Groucutt, best known for his work in the progressive rock back, Electric Light Orchestra, on this, the 14th anniversary of his passing. He was born September 8, 1945 in  Coseley, West Midlands and began his musical career at age 15 as Rikki Storm of Rikki Storm and the Falcons. Years later while playing in the band Barefoot, ELO members Jeff Lynne, Bev Bevan, and Richard Tandy approached him after the show and invited him to replace departing bassist, Mike de Albuquerque. Kelly played with the group from 1974 and 1982. He passed away in 2009, age 63, from a heart attack. With him in mind, we spotlight ELO's ninth studio album, Time. The LP was released July 31, 1981 on the Jet label and was produced by bandleader, Jeff Lynne. It reached # 36 in Japan, #28 in France, #16 on the Billboard 200, #10 in New Zealand, #9 on the Cash Box charts, #7 in Canada, #3 in Australia, #2 in Austria, the Netherlands, and Norway, and #1 in Sweden, the UK, and West Germany. Five singles were released from the 13 track album ; "Hold On Tight" (#24 France, #10 Netherlands, Sweden, Hot 100, Record World, #8 Cash Box, #7 New Zealand, Norway, #6 Canada, #5 Australia, #4 Belgium, South Africa, UK, #3 Ireland, #2 Austria, Germany, Billboard Hot Tracks, #1 Spain, Switzerland), "Twilight" (#93 Australia, #39 Record World, #38 Hot 100, Cash Box, #30 UK, #25 Radio and Records, #18 Netherlands, #17 Germany, #15 Austria, #10 France),  "Ticket To The Moon" (#71 Germany, #24 UK, #17 Ireland, #4 France), "Rain Is Falling" (#101  Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles) and "The Way Life's Meant To Be" (#30 Germany).
