Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember rapper Darren Robinson, also known as Big Buff, Buff Love, Buffy, The Human Beat Box, and DJ Doctor Nice, from the rap/hip hop trio, The Fat Boys, on this, the 25th anniversary of his passing. He died in 1995, age 28 from a heart attack. In 1987 The Fat Boys starred in their second feature film, Disorderlies, where they played the worst orderlies who were hired to look after an aging millionaire by a nephew who wishes to shorten his uncle's time on earth. The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (#99 Billboard 200) was released in 1987 on the Tin Pan Apple label. The Fat Boys have the lead track on the album, a cover of The Beatles', "Baby, You're a Rich Man" and the rest of the soundtrack is filled out by Bananarama, Bon Jovi, the Latin Rascals, and more. It really is a solid and enjoyable album. It was purchased earlier this year at Treasure House Antiques & Collectibles.
