Today we remember Louisiana native and country music performer David Houston (a descendent of both Same Houston and Robert E. Lee) on what would have been his 85th Birthday. He passed away in 1993, age 57, just one week short of his 58th Birthday. David Houston's Greatest Hits, Volume II was released in 1971 on the Columbia Limited Edition label and produced by Billy Sherrill . It peaked at #21 on the Billboard Country Albums chart.
