Good morning audiophiles and welcome back to the Sunday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Tennessee born singer songwriter, actor, and television host, Eddy Arnold, on what would have been his 104th Birthday. An innovator of the Nashville Sound, The Grand Ole Oprey member and Country Music Hall of Famer sold over 85 million records, and charted with 147 songs. He passed away in 2008, age 89, from natural causes. Today we take a look and a listen to his 10th studio recording, Our Man Down South. Our Man Down South was released January 1963 on the RCA Victor label and produced by Chet Atkins. On this album of covers, Eddy takes on Pat Boone's "Moon River, Johnny Horton's "The Battle Of New Orleans", Leroy Van Dyke's "Black Cloud ", and others. There were no singles released. The liner notes were written by Tennessee Governor Frank G. Clement.
