Good morning gang and welcome back to today's edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again, also known as Monday, President's Day, and Valentine's Day 2022. Going with the Valentine's theme, we find ourselves featuring the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to the 1981 Polygram Pictures film, Endless Love. The film,  a romantic drama directed by Franco Zeffirelli, starring Brooke Shields and Martin Hewitt, revolves around two Chicago teens, Jade Butterfield (Shields) and David Axelrod (Hewitt) who fall in love after being introduced by Jade's Brother. The movie features actor Tom Cruise in his debut role as Billy. The soundtrack was released in 1981 on Mercury Records and peaked at #26 in Australia. It's title track, "Endless Love", a duet by  Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, reached #1 in Australia, Canada, South Africa, the Hot 100, the  Adult Contemporary chart, the Hot Soul Singles survey, and the Cash Box. In addition to the Endless Love main theme, there is also an instrumental version and a reprise version to close out the album. Although not in the film, KISS and Cliff Richard make an appearance on the record.
