Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate Black History Month with this blast from the past : Funky Fifties is a 1972 compilation album, released on the Harlem Hitparade, a product of Pickwick International. It features some great tunes from the likes of The Platters, The Five Satins, Bobby Day, and The Clovers to name a few. My favorite on the LP was The Turbans track, "Sister Sooky", which I had never heard before. Until last night, our copy was sealed and then opened for this occasion.
