Good Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate the 60th Birthday of Oklahoma born country music singer and songwriter, Garth Brooks. Happy Birthday Garth ! During the course of his 4 decade career, Mr. Brooks has sod over 170 million albums worldwide, including 9 LPs that have achieved Diamond Certification. (10 million plus in sales). For this he has earned a world record, beating The Beatles and their former record of 6 Diamond records. It's his second one, No Fences, we find ourselves spinning today. The 18X Platinum disc reached #69 in Europe, #49 in Canada, #11 in Australia, #3 on the Billboard 200, #2 on the Canadian Country Albums chart, and #1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart. The ten track LP spawned five singles ; "Friends in Low Places"(#89 Europe, #36 UK, #31 Scottland, #1 Canada Country, US Hot Country Songs) , "Unanswered Prayers" (#1 ,Canada Country, US Hot Country Songs),  "Two Of A Kind, Workin' On A Full House" (#1 Canada Country, US Hot Country Songs), "The Thunder Rolls" (#1 Canada Country, US Hot Country Songs), and "Wild Horses" (#50 Hot 100, #7 Hot Country Songs) . Our copy is part of the 2019 Limited Edition Legacy Boxset that includes 4 remixed studio albums (No Fences, The Chase, In Pieces, and Fresh Horses) and a triple live album from Yankee Stadium. In addition to the vinyl there is also CD representation of all 7 records. This set was limited to 500,000 and was sold online and in Dollar General Stores.
