Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Connecticut born singer-songwriter, musician, and sound engineer, Gene Pitney, on this, the 15th anniversary of his passing. He was born February 17, 1940 to parents, of Anna A. (Orlowski) and Harold F. Pitney. He died in 2006, age 66, from a heart attack, just hours after his final performance. Today we have his 23rd album, The Country Side Of Gene Pitney turning on our table. The LP was released in 1966 on the Musicor label and produced by Pitney and Bob Moore. On it, we hear Gene backed by The Jordanaires, who we recently featured on a Jake Hess album.
