Today marks five years since the untimely death of Arkansas born guitarist, singer, songwriter, actor and television host, Glen Campbell. He was born April 22, 1936 and passed away in 2017, age 81, from Alzheimer's disease. He is severely missed. With him in mind, we spotlight his first greatest hits package, appropriately titled Glen Campbell's Greatest Hits. The LP was released in February 1971 on the Capitol label and produced, arranged, and conducted by Al De Lory, with the exception of "Burning Bridges". That one was arranged and conducted by Leon Russell. The record reached #39 on the Hot 100, #24 in Australia, #8 in the UK, and #3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.
