Today we celebrate the 74th Birthday of Shreveport, Louisiana native, singer songwriter and multi - instrumentalist, Hank Williams Jr.. Happy Birthday Hank ! He is the son of Legendary country musician Hank Williams and Audrie Williams. He is the Father of Hank 3, Holly, Katherine, Hilary and Sam Williams, and the Grandfather of Coleman Williams, who performs as IV. Today we are spinning Jr.'s 32nd studio album, Rowdy. The LP was released January 1981 on the Elektra/Curb labels and produced by Jimmy Bowen. It peaked at #82 on the Billboard 200, #20 in Canada, and #2 on the Top Country Albums chart and two singles were released ; "Texas Women" (#22 Canada, #1 Hot Country Songs) and "Dixie On My Mind" (#41 Canada, #1 Hot Country Songs). My beautiful Wife Lynn saw him right here in Lakeland on January 30,1988. I'll enclose a picture of her ticket as well.
