Good morning record enthusiasts and welcome back to the Sunday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Alabama born singer songwriter and guitarist, Hank Williams, on what would have been his 100th Birthday. He was born September 17, 1923 to parents Jessie Lillybelle "Lillie" (née Skipper; 1898–1955) and Elonzo Huble "Lon" Williams (1891–1970) and passed away at age 29, around midnight on January 1, 1953 in the back seat of his Cadillac from heart failure. He is severely missed. To mark the occasion, we find ourselves spinning this 1966 MGM compilation, The Legend Lives Anew - Hank Williams With Strings. The LP reached #35 on the Top Country Albums chart and features vocal tracks by Williams with orchestral arrangements dubbed in.
