Good morning Friday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Wednesday (08/16/23) brought us the sad news that New York City native, Army Veteran, and record executive, Jerry Moss, had passed away at age 88. He is perhaps best known for cofounding the A&M Records in 1962 with Herb Alpert (Who is the "A") and is the "M" in A&M Records . Today we have him on the 15th studio album by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass. Summertime was released in 1971 on the aforementioned A&M Records and was produced by Alpert and Moss. It peaked at #111 on the Billboard 200 and sees Herb cover the like of The Beatles, Gordon Lightfoot, The Beach Boys, Little Anthony & the Imperials', as well as a couple of pieces by George Gershwin.
