Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . According to the National Event Calendar, today (08/17/23) is National Black Cat Appreciation Day and that's good enough for us. On this day the powers that be try to destigmatize the familiar felines who have been connected with bad luck since the middle ages. Our contribution of the day is LP. London Symphony Orchestra Vol. II was recorded January 12–14, 1983 at the Twickenham Film Studios in London and then released June 9, 1983 on Frank Zappa's Barking Pumpkin label. Zappa wrote, composed, arranged and produced the tracks, while Kent Nagano conducted the symphony. The cover of the album shows Frank with black cat on his shoulder. Our copy was purchased several years ago at Lakeland's very own Jesse Carl Vinyl.
