Good morning Sunday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember English guitarist, Derek Leckenby, best known for his work with the English beat rock band, Herman's Hermits, on this the 29th anniversary of his passing. He was born May 14, 1943 and passed away on this day in 1994, age 51, of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. With him in mind, we spotlight the group's second compilation, The Best Of Herman's Hermits - Volume II. The LP was released 1966 on the MGM label and was produced by Mickie Most. It peaked at #20 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified Gold in the US. The cover boasts about a 'Bigger-than life Autographed Photo of Herman Inside !, but if the photo was ever in our copy of the record, it is long gone by now. In the photo section, I've included a picture of the ticket where we were fortunate enough to see Herman's Hermits Starring Peter Noone, in October of 2016, at Lakeland's very own, Youkey Theatre. Peter said (tongue in cheek) that it had been his life's dream, to play the Youkey. It was a great show, I even missed the premiere of The Walking Dead to attend it ....
