Good morning Thursday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. It was on this day in 1946, that English musician and singer songwriter, Ian Matthews ( Ian Matthews MacDonald) was born. He is best known as the male vocalist in British folk rock band Fairport Convention and the bandleader in Matthews Southern Comfort. Happy 76th Birthday Ian ! We celebrate him by spinning his 7th studio solo album, Go For Broke. The LP was released in 1976 on the Columbia label and produced by Glen Spreen and Norbert Putnam . On it, he mixes in covers of Van Morrison, The Youngbloods, The Rascals, and Hall & Oates, among his originals.
