Dark Clouds Rain Down Tears Washing Away Swirling Colors From The Clown's Face..
Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today marks 7 years since the beginning of this very page. That's right gang, for 7 years we have spun the records, snapped the photos, and given our fresh take on the vintage vinyl in our collection. We truly appreciate everyone of you that has followed along, read, liked, commented, and or shared.
In addition to all that, it is also the 25th anniversary of the death of Australian musician, singer-songwriter and actor, Michael Hutchence, best known as the front man for the rock band, INXS. He was born on January 22, 1960 and passed away in 1997, age 37, after suicide by hanging. To honor his legacy, we find ourselves spinning the group's third album, Shabooh Shoobah. The record was released October 13, 1982 on the Warner Music label and produced by Mark Opitz. It peaked at #46 on the Billboard 200 and #5 in the band's homeland, Australia. Four singles were released from the 10 track album ; "The One Thing" (#31 Canada, #30 Hot 100, #14 Australia, #2 Mainstream Rock), "Don't Change" (#80 Hot 100, #17 Mainstream Rock, #14 Australia), "To Look at You" (#14 Australia) and "Black and White" (#24 Australia).
