Good Monday morning gang (that is if you believe in such nonsense) and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember singer-songwriter, actor, and producer Isaac Hayes, on this, the 12th anniversary of his death. He passed away in 2008, age 65, after suffering a stroke. With him in mind, we spotlight his third studio album, The Isaac Hayes Movement. The Isaac Hayes Movement was released April 1970 on Enterprise Records and produced by Hayes himself. It reached #8 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on both the R&B/Hip Hop charts and Jazz albums chart. It has been certified Gold. Due to long songs the record only has 4 tracks. Funk band The Bar-Kays serves as Hayes' back up band.
