STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - JOE JACKSON - JOE JACKSON'S JUMPIN' JIVE

Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we joyfully celebrate the 66th Birthday of new wave British musician Joe Jackson. Happy Birthday Joe ! To commemorate the date, we spotlight his fourth studio album, Joe Jackson's Jumpin' Jive. The LP was released June 11, 1981, and produced by Jackson himself. It reached #42 on the Billboard 200, #29 in Australia, #14 UK, #12 New Zealand. The record, consisting mostly of covers of classic 1940s swing and jump blues songs, spawned two singles; "Jumpin' Jive (#61 Australia, #43 UK, #32 New Zealand) and "Jack, You're Dead" (failed to chart). In my opinion Joe kind of looks like Don Knotts on this album cover.
