Today we happily celebrate the 82nd Birthday of Los Angeles born pioneer of the surf rock sound, Dean Ormsby Torrence, also known as Dean in the duo Jan & Dean. Happy Birthday Dean ! To get his and our party started, we shine a light on their third studio album, Surf City (And Other Swingin' Cities) . The LP was released July 1963 on the Liberty label and produced by Jan (Berry).
