Good morning record enthusiasts and welcome back to the Friday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. We didn't want the week to get away without mentioning that yesterday (07-21-22) was also what would have been the 100th Birthday of Dougherty, Oklahoma and singer, Kay Starr (real name : Catherine Laverne Starks) . She was born in 1922 and passed away November 3, 2016, age 94, from complications of Alzheimer's disease. During her 4 decade career, she dabbled in traditional pop, jazz, country, and western swing. We honor her legacy with this 1964 Coronet Records release, On Stage Kay Starr With Martha Tilton & Curt Massey. It is a split LP with Kay Starr on Side A and Tilton and Massey on Side B.
