Good morning  record enthusiasts and welcome back to the Friday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Scottish singer and a television show host, Lena Zavaroni, on what would have been her 59th Birthday. The child star with a really big voice, was born in 1963 and passed away October 1, 1999 from pneumonia, following a surgery aimed at curing her depression.  Her teen years were tragic, as she suffered from anorexia nervosa and clinical depression. At 10 years old she became the youngest artist in the UK to have a top 10 album, with  her debut album Ma! (He's Making Eyes At Me),  a record she still holds today. That LP is turning on our table today. 

Ma! (He's Making Eyes At Me) was released in 1974 on the Stax label and peaked at #8 on the UK Albums chart. It was produced by Tommy Scott and saw the birth of a sole single, the title track, "Ma! (He's Making Eyes at Me)", which reached #91 on the Hot 100, #90 in Australia, and 310 in the UK. the rest of the album sees Lena covering Bing Crosby, Skeeter Davis, Sammi Smith, and John Denver, among others.
