Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl again. Today we remember Georgia born Southern gospel singer and recording artist, Naomi Sego, on this, the 5 year anniversary of her death. She was born February 17, 1931 and died in 2017, age 86. The Sego Brothers started their career in 1946 and in 1959 Naomi joined and the name was changed to “The Sego Brothers and Naomi” and then later to “Naomi and The Sego Brothers.” She was the Wife of James Sego. They released nearly 50 albums and were the first Southern Gospel Group to sell over a million records with their song, "Sorry, I Never Knew You". Today's record is called Sego Brothers And Naomi and was released by the Sing label. I'm not sure of the year, but the only other Sing album I found by them was 1975, so I'm assuming this one came from that same time period.
