STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - LESTER FLATT - LIVE BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL

Good morning gang and welcome back to the Monday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember Lester Raymond Flatt, bluegrass guitarist and mandolinist, best known for his collaborative work with Earl Scruggs in  The Foggy Mountain Boys, on this the 41st anniversary of his death. He passed away in 1979, age 64, from heart failure. We honor his legacy with this great live album,  Live Bluegrass Festival. The LP was released in 1974 on the RCA Victor label after being recorded at Vanderbilt University's Neely Auditorium earlier that same year in March. The album sees Flatt's mentor Bill Monroe as it's special guest.
