Good Sunday morning people and welcome to the Mother's Day 2020 edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we give thanks and wish all the Moms a wonderful day ! To get the things started the right way, we offer up for your listening consideration the third studio release from Atlanta based Southern fried funk band, Mother's Finest. Another Mother Further was released in 1977 on the Epic label and produced by Tom Werman and Mother's Finest. Although the LP did not achieve a lot commercial success, only spawning one single, "Piece Of The Rock", it did produce a fantastic fan favorite in "Baby Love" (#79 Hot Black Singles, #58 Hot 100) and memorable covers of "Mickey's Monkey (The Miracles) and Elvis' "Burning Love". This copy was purchased a couple of years ago at Lakeland's very own, The Wax And The Needle.
