Good morning record enthusiasts and welcome back to the Sunday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate the 79th Birthday of singer songwriter and guitarist Lobo (real name : Roland Kent LaVoie). Happy Birthday Lobo ! He was born in Tallahassee but raised right here in Polk County, in Winter Haven, Florida. Early on in his career, he was in a band called The Rumours, with Gram Parsons and the pioneer of country rock drumming, Jon Corneal. Over the course of his six decade career, he has released 17 studio albums, including his 4th one, Calumet. The LP was released in 1972 on Big Tree Records and produced by Phil Gernhard. It peaked at #128 on the Billboard 200 and gave birth to four singles ; "It Sure Took a Long, Long Time"( #27 Hot 100, #3
Easy Listening), "How Can I Tell Her" (#22 Hot 100, #4 Easy Listening) , "There Ain't No Way" (#68 Hot 100, #29 Easy Listening), and "Standing At The End Of The Line" (#37 Hot 100, #25 Easy Listening).
