On Sunday we celebrated the 92nd Birthday of comedian Bob Newhart, but that day (09-05-21) also marked the 75th Birthday of North Carolina born folk singer songwriter, humorist, and actor, Loudon Wainwright III . Happy belated Birthday Loudon ! With him in mind, we spotlight his third studio album, appropriately titled, Album III. Album III was released June 15, 1972 on the Columbia label and produced by Thomas Jefferson Kaye. It peaked at #62 in Australia, #102 on the Billboard 200 and featured his best known song, "Dead Skunk" (#16 Hot 100) as it's sole single. This was his first record to feature his full band, White Cloud.
