Good morning Friday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. We wanted to get a early jump on things and wish Brooklyn born actor and comedian, Pat Cooper (real name : Pasquale Caputo) a very Happy early 93rd Birthday. He was born July 31, 1929. He got his start in the 1950s performing for Italian-American audiences and then in 1963 performed on The Jackie Gleason Show. This lead to gigs at the Copacabana, and Atlantic City and Las Vegas Hotels and casinos. He has released four comedy albums and appeared in a handful of films. It's his 2nd record, Spaghetti Sauce & Other Delights, that is our subject of focus today. Spaghetti Sauce & Other Delights ( the cover and title are a take on Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass' Whipped Cream & Other Delights) was released in 1966 on United Artists Records and produced by Leroy Holmes. Side 1 features spoken word comedy about growing up Italian, while Side 2 is made up of parody songs.
