Today we joyfully celebrate the 62nd Birthday of Texas born country music and gospel music singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actor, Randy Bruce Traywick, better known as Randy Travis. Happy Birthday Randy ! His third record, Old 8x10, was released July 12, 1988 on the Warner Brothers Nashville label and produced by Kyle Lehning. The LP peaked at #35 on the Billboard 200, #14 in Canada, and #1 on both the US and Canada Country Albums chart. It has been certified 2X Platinum in both countries. Four singles were released ; "Honky Tonk Moon" (#1 US Country Singles, Canada Country Singles) , "Deeper Than the Holler" (#1 US Country Singles, Canada Country Singles), "Is It Still Over?" (#1 US Country Singles, Canada Country Singles), and "Promises" (#17 US Country, #12 Canada Country) .
