Good morning, morning people and welcome back to the Tuesday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember country music singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Ray Price, on what would have been his 95th Birthday. He passed away in 2013, age 87, from cancer. Ray's 17th studio album, For The Good Times, was released August 1970 on Columbia Records and produced by Don Law and Frank Jones. The album was a runaway success, staying on the chart 120 weeks, 9 of those at #1. It's singles were "For the Good Times" (No. 1); "Crazy Arms (No. 1); and "Heartaches By The Number" (No. 2). Oddly enough, this is the only Ray Price record we own, but we own two versions of it. The regular version and the quad phonic edition. We listened to both, back to back, and indeed, the latter sounds better. I'll include pics of it as well.
