Good Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember singer, guitarist and songwriter, Jimmy Griffin, best known for his work with Los Angelos based soft rock Bread, on this, the 16th anniversary of his death. He passed away in 2005, age 61, from cancer. Bread's 4th album, Baby I'm-a Want You, was released January 1972 on Elektra Records and produced by David Gates. It peaked at #9 in the UK and Canada, and #3 in America, where it has been certified Gold. Three singles were released, the title track (#14 UK, #5 Canada, #3 Hot 100 and Cash Box, #1 Adult Contemporary) , "Everything I Own" (#32 UK, #6 Cash Box, #5 Canada, #5 Hot 100, #3 Adult Contemporary), and "Diary" (#15 Cash Box and Hot 100, #12 Canada, #11 World Record, #3 Adult Contemporary).
