Good morning, morning people and welcome back to the Sunday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember country and gospel singer songwriter, guitarist , actor, and radio/television host, Red Foley, on this, the 53rd anniversary of his passing. He died in 1968, age 58 from respiratory failure following a show with Billy Walker and Hank Williams, Jr.. His death inspired Williams to write "I Was With Red Foley (The Night He Passed Away"). We remember Red with this 1961 Decca Records record, Songs Of Devotion by Red Foley With The Jordanaires. This is the second time we've heard from the Jordanaires this week as they were the backing vocal quartet on the Sheb Wooley (Ben Colder) album we featured on Thursday.
