Good Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember punk rocker and actress, Wendy O. Williams, best known as the frontwoman of the Plasmatics, on this the 22nd anniversary of her death. She took her own life in 1998, via gunshot. She was 48 years old. With her in mind, we spotlight the soundtrack to the 1986 Tom DeSimone directed film, Reform School Girls. Reform School Girls (the movie) stars Linda Carol, Wendy O. Williams, Pat Ast, Sybil Danning and Sherri Stoner. Linda Carol plays a young girl who is sent to a sadistic reform school and has to deal with a bully, Wendy O. Williams' Charlie Chambliss. The soundtrack was released the same year on Rhino Records and produced by Martin Schwartz and Rod Swenson, who was Wendy's significant other and bandmate in the Plasmatics. This all girl soundtrack was purchased at Treasure House Antiques & Collectibles in Winter Haven, Florida.
