Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember bassist David Martin, Texas native and founding member of novelty rock and roll band Sam the Sham and the Pharaohs, on this, the 35th anniversary of his death. He died in 1987, age 50, from a heart attack. We honor his legacy, (which includes co-writing the band's biggest hit, "Wooly Bully") by spotlighting the group's third record, On Tour. On Tour was released in March 1965 on MGM Records and yielded two singles ; "Ring Dang Doo" (#33 Hot 100) and "Red Hot" (#82 Hot 100).
