Good Tuesday morning, morning people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember The King Of Country, Roy Acuff, on what would have been his 117th Birthday. He passed away in 1992, age 89, from congestive heart failure. To honor his legacy, we take a listen to this 1962 MCA Records release, Saturday Night At The Grand Ole Opry. The LP collects a live concert at the Saturday Night Grand Ole Opry show, that showcases some of the best Opry stars of the day including Kitty Wells, Bill Anderson, Tompall And The Glaser Brothers, Ernest Tubb, Patsy Cline, Bill Monroe, and Roy Acuff, among others.
