Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we are going to celebrate New Jersey native,  musician, singer, songwriter and actor, Paul Simon. His 81st Birthday is tomorrow (10/13/22) and we're getting a early jump, so we can celebrate another Birthday tomorrow. With him in mind, we spotlight Simon & Garfunkel's second studio album,  Sounds of Silence. The LP was released January 17, 1966 on the Columbia label and produced by  Bob Johnston and Tom Wilson. It reached #21 on the Billboard 200 and #13 in the UK. Three singles were released ; The ever popular title track, "The Sound of Silence"(#94 Switzerland, #17 Spain, #11 Belgian, #10 Netherlands, #9 West Germany, #3 Australia, Austria, Zimbabwe, #1 Japan, South Africa, Hot 100, Cash Box),  "Homeward Bound" (#20 Australia, #12 Sweden, #9 UK, #5 Hot 100, Cash Box, #4 Rhodesia, Netherlands, #2 Canada, #1 New Zealand) and "I Am a Rock" (#35 West Germany, #20 Australia, #17 UK, #10 Netherlands, Sweden, #6 Canada, #4 Cash Box, #3 Hot 100, #2 New Zealand).
