Dark Clouds Rain Down Tears Washing Away Swirling Colors From The Clown's Face..
Good Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we ecstatically wish Redford, Michigan born singer, songwriter, guitarist and activist, Ted Nugent a very Happy 73rd Birthday. Happy Birthday Uncle Ted ! With him in mind, we spotlight his second live album, Intensities In 10 Cities. The LP was recorded between August and September 1980 in the last ten cities on Nugent's tour. He would play two or three new and previously unreleased songs each night and record them, so that the live album would consist of new songs. The album was then released March 2, 1981, on Epic Records. Ric Browde, Nugent drummer Cliff Davies, and Lew Futterman handled production duties and the record reached #75 ion the UK, #51 on the Billboard 200, and #17 in Canada. The songs "Jailbait" (#56 Mainstream Rock), "Land Of A Thousand Dances" (#47 Mainstream Rock) and "The Flying Lip Lock" (#36 Mainstream Rock) were all issued as singles. This would be Ted's last album on Epic and the last one to feature drummer Cliff Davies.
