Good morning Sunday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we celebrate the 81st Birthday of California native and bassist, Ron Meagher, best known for his work in the San Francisco rock band , The Beau Brummels. Happy Birthday Ron ! To get his party started, we spotlight the group's 6th compilation album, The Best of The Beau Brummels 1964–1968. The LP was released in 1987 on Rhino Records and produced by Sly Stone. It features singles they were best known for, such as, "Laugh, Laugh" (#15 Hot 100) , "Just a Little" (#8 Hot 100) , "You Tell Me Why" (#38 Hot 100) , and "Don't Talk to Strangers" (#52 Hot 100) , as well as unreleased tracks like,  "Here We Are Again". The album runs the gamut from rock, pop, folk, and country rock. We got our copy about a month ago at a weird little inside yard sale in north Lakeland.
