Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today our album of choice is Through Our Eyes by The Bitter End Singers. The sextet of vocalists from Greenwich Village, toured Canada, the US, and Europe for about three years, starting in 1964, released two albums and a handful of singles, and were invited to perform at LBJ's White House. One of the female vocalist is Nancy Priddy, actress and singer, known for her appearances in television shows like, Bewitched, The Waltons, and Matlock. She is also the mother of actress Christina Applegate. Another member, Lefty Banks is known for his work in Spanky And Our Gang. Today we have their debut album spinning. The LP was released in 1965 on Mercury Records and produced by Fred Weintraub and Robert Bowers and sees the group cover tunes by Leadbelly, Cliff Edwards, Lew Stone and His Band, Norman Wisdom, more. The second track on the disc, "I Ain't Gonna Take It Sittin' Down" is an original.
