Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Sometimes you need a little something extra to get you over the hump, and today it comes in the form of this 1986 punk compilation The Blasting Concept Volume II. The LP was released on SST Records, a business started by Black Flag guitarist Greg Ginn, when he was 12 years old. It was originally a small electronic equipment business but when it became apparent no label was interesting in signing Ginn's first band, Panic, he transitioned the business into a record label . In addition to Black Flag with a young Henry Rollins on vocals, the LP features future The Obsessed front man Scott "Wino" Weinrich in Saint Vitus, the Meat Puppets covering Foghat and the Minutemen covering Van Halen. The disc is truly an enjoyable listen from beginning to end.
