Good morning Thursday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember Chicago born vocalist and celloist, Orville "Hoppy" Jones, best known as a part of the American vocal jazz group, The Ink Spots, on what would have been his 117th Birthday. He died in 1944 from cerebral hemorrhages, after collapsing on stage at the Cafe Zanzibar in New York City. He was 39 years old. We honor his legacy by spinning this 1958 Colortone Records compilation, America's Most Popular Quartet Volume 2.
